METEOR STREAKS THROUGH NEVADA NIGHT THURS AUG 26 2010
The skies were a bit more active this month with the annual Perseid meteor shower making an appearance, caused by the Earth passing through the dust of the dead comet Swift-Tuttle (which we can only assume is named after pop-country singing sensation Taylor Swift and some guy named Tuttle).
